Women and the Coast Networking Event

Harbour View 2, Hotel Grand Chancellor

Globally, women are under-represented in leadership positions. Women are emerging from college degrees as significant percentages of graduates and they take up a significant percentage of our workforce. However, they are in the profound minority globally when it comes to executive decision-making roles, particularly in relation to science, technology, engineering and maths.
This networking cocktail event explores the theme of women leadership, delving into issues of diversity and equity in the practice of coastal management. We will hear stories from inspirational women working in this arena: Denise Hardesty, Principal Research Scientists, CSIRO Ocean & Atmosphere; Peta Leahy, President of the Australian Coastal Society & and Cassie O’Connor, leader of the Green Party in Tasmania.
This is not a women-only event. All are welcome.
Please register for this event during when registering for the conference, if you have already registered for the conference please log back into your record.
